Frequently asked questions

What are the most absorbent types of Bathrobes?

Cotton terry bath robes tend to be the most absorbent and are your best bet if you plan on using your robe primarily for toweling off. Cotton robes absorb water and perspiration, helping you stay dry if you choose to wear your bathrobe for lounging in warmer temperatures.

How long do you take to prepare and ship the products to our hotel/business?

The usual turnaround time for a business order is 2-3 weeks. However, do let us know if you have any special requests and we will try to do our best to provide the best service possible!

How do you ship the products?

We ship our products (via surface courier / transport) based on customer's request. If required urgently, we use Surface Courier which can become a little expensive but a fast means of transportation. However, if you require the cost-effective way to get your products delivered, we can ship the products through Cargo Transport.

How often should I wash the Bathrobe?

Sohum specialists say you have to put your bathrobes in the laundry after three to four uses. This will prevent the risk of bacterial growth, and the occurrence of mold. Experts also suggest hanging the bathrobe immediately after use. This will help dry it out easily and reduce moisture.

How should I wash the robes?

While you can wash your robes in cold water, Sohum experts recommend the occasional deep wash on a warm to hot cycle at 40-60 degrees to remove any bacteria, oils and smells. Avoid overcrowding the machine as this may reduce the effectiveness of the wash and prevent the detergent from being rinsed out completely.

Should I look for coloured robes or opt for white robes for my hotel ?

Using White Robes for your Hotel is highly recommended for a number of reasons. For a start, there’s no risk that white robes will clash with the colour scheme of the rooms, but more importantly white robes suggest cleanliness. White robes have no dye compared to coloured ones, which helps them to stay fluffy and absorbent for a longer time. Plus white colours are less likely to fade, so look newer for a longer time.

When should i replace the towels in my hotel with a new set?

It’s an ongoing process. Robes are used, laundered, and it should be a routine for the staff to check the standards of the the robe before putting it back. Some robes get stolen, some get stained, and some simply wear out. Stained and worn ones need to be pulled out of circulation immediately. Thus, depending on the circumstances, one must ensure that a set minimum inventory of towels is maintained at all times to carry on the business.
